With Frank Babauta, Yasu Irinaka and Tom Santos going into scoring surge, Above the Rim completed the first quarter with a three-point cushion.
However, Above the Rim’s shooting slackened in the second quarter, as QQ Rent-A-Car stole the scene combining 26 of their total points to put up a big lead towards the half break.
Villegas sizzled with nine points in the third quarter, Danny Illahi, Rey Darag and Teddy Bugay chipped in four of their total points to help QQ maintain the lead.
Despite Babausta’s 22 points in the second half, QQ kept the upper ground.
Villegas continued the surge as he scattered 12 more points in the court and Dindo Pablo added three to finish with 11 points, keeping QQ ahead by two-figure lead.
Alfonso Teo, Bugay and Danny Illahi tallied 10 points apiece, as QQ went on to beat Above the Rim by 16 points.
Babauta led Above the Rim’s scoring hands pouring 28 points while Ton Santos delivered 18 points.
