Hyatt marketing communications assistant manager Luis Villagomez said the gingerbread house, which is part of the hotel’s annual holiday treat, will make families feel the Christmas spirit at the Hyatt.
The gingerbread house, which was installed at the entrance of DJ’s Corner, is made of real bread decorated with white frosting and candies.
Villagomez said the gingerbread house was made by the hotel’s pastry department under Chef de Partie Nilo Rabino.
Villagomez said their countdown for the arrival of Santa Claus starts on Dec. 22.
“The essence of our countdown for Santa’s arrival is to invite kids and families to come to the Hyatt and to make Christmas more enjoyable and memorable for them,” he added.
Signs around the hotel announce the number of days left before Santa arrives.
Also in the lobby is an enchanted Christmas castle where guests can have their photos taken.
“We would like the community to visit Hyatt and to feel the true spirit of Christmas,” Villagomez said.
With Santa’s arrival on island, Christmas carols will be sung for three consecutive nights by different chorales.
Starting on Dec. 22, Villagomez said they are inviting everyone to spend time with Santa Claus as he sits near the enchanted Christmas castle in the lobby.
