Peter Borja gets 3 days for disturbing the peace of partner

Superior Court Judge Kenneth L. Govendo imposed six months’ imprisonment on Borja, all suspended except for three days.

The court credited two days Borja served at the Department of Corrections.

Borja will report to Corrections on Dec. 17, 2011 to serve the remaining one day jail sentence.

Borja will be placed on six months’ probation, and to complete 100 hours of community work service.

Borja will pay a $100 fine, a $25 court assessment fee, and a probation fee.

Borja was originally charged with assault and battery, and disturbing the peace.

Last Sept., police arrested Borja for hitting his partner with a folded beach chair, but missed.

The incident was triggered by two phone calls from Borja’s former girlfriend who told the victim that she was calling her brother’s friend, and misdialed Borja’s number.

Borja, who was drunk that day, was roused from him sleep by the victim who then confronted the defendant about the phone calls.
