New Year in New York: 2012 countdown at the Hyatt

Make the Hyatt Regency Saipan your destination as the hotel brings the dazzle, hustle and glamour of New York with a countdown and a toast along with celebratory songs reminiscent of New York City in the hotel lobby from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Be there to witness an extravagant display of fireworks as the clock strikes 12 midnight.

Kagamiwari

Hyatt Regency welcomes its patrons and the whole community to join them in the traditional Japanese sake-breaking ceremony to welcome a successful New Year on January 1, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. and onward.

New Year’s Eve dinner

Giovanni’s Italian Restaurant will be serving Course Menu 1 starting with seared ahi tuna, spicy mango basil aioli, organic red butter lettuce and buffalo mozzarella twist. This will be followed by oyster bisque, leeks cream and chili lemon oil. Next course is the onaga fillet on wilted spinach, salsa fresco and olive butter sauce. The live carving will be certified Angus fillet Wellington, parmesan rosemary crust, blackberry whiskey sauce. Next will be the sweet celebration treat, and capped with coffee or herbal tea, or chocolate mint.

The Kid’s Menu is $45 per child and consists of roasted sweet pumpkin soup, Lasagna (Bolognese) kids portion with herbed garlic bread, and Vanilla ice cream scoop with chocolate sauce, toasted almonds and oatmeal cookie crumble.

The Course Menu 1 is $80 per person for non-Club at the Hyatt members, and $60 for CATH members.

New Year’s Eve Dinner Course Menu 2 at Giovanni’s is $100 per person for non-CATH members and starts with avocado and jumbo prawn, baby organic greens, black caviar and creamy circuits, and the main entrée which is baked half Maine lobster, polenta au gratin buttered vegetable chiffonade. This is in addition to the menu in the Course Menu 1.

Teppanyaki

The Teppanyaki festive holiday menu for kids is $55 per child and includes teriyaki chicken, shrimp fried rice, miso soup and pickles, and vanilla ice cream scoop with strawberry sauce and oatmeal cookie crumble.

The New Year’s Eve dinner for adults at the Teppanyaki is $125 for non-CATH members. Dig into the delicious delights of different sashimi variations, half Maine lobster, roasted baby garlic vermouth sauce, Certified Angust rib-eye steak, shrimp fried rice, desserts and coffee or tea.

Miyako Restaurant

The dinner buffet at the Miyako Restaurant is one you should not miss for the freshest seafood and Japanese favorites. Dig into the wide selection of appetizers and salads, sashimi, hot pot, broiled beef sirloin and black cod fish, grilled market station, steamed section, deep fried, rice and noodles, sushi station and the grand dessert buffet at the desserts table.

Kili Café & Terrace

New Year’s eve dinner at the Kili Café & Terrace is a dinner buffet that includes the widest selection of your special favorites all the way from appetizers, salad bar, cheese and Continental cold cuts, seafood on ice, soup, carving station, hot entrées and the dessert of the day — all this for $75 per person for non-CATH members, and $55 for CATH members.

Come back for New Year’s Day brunch at the same restaurants on Sunday for more mouthwatering treats that only the Hyatt can bring.
