The Ace of Aces winner wasn’t announced until an awards ceremony in December 6. Trailing Fajardo were Ray Dela Cruz, Frances Sablan, Tony Deleon Guerrero, Edward Manibusan, and Jess Castro.
Castro, Manibusan, Steve Balakrishna, and Bob Magofna won the long drive contests which took place in both venues.
Other individual awards were received by Nick Sablan (lowest gross, lowest net, and most birdies), John Babauta and Ray San Nicolas (most eagles), Manibusan (most greenies and longest drive), Tony Deleon Guerrero and Eun Jung Teack (most rounds played), Mac Chargualaf (highest gross), and Sablan (highest net).
“The 2011 SGA tournaments were a great success thanks to the outstanding leadership of President Mariano Fajardo, Vice President Larry Deleon Guerrero, Treasurer Jose I. Sablan, Secretary Frances M. Sablan, Tournament Director Joe Demapan, Handicap Coordinator Edward Manibusan, Solicitation Committee Chair Edward Sablan, the active Board of Directors and participation of 35 members and continued support from Kingfisher Golf Links, Laolao Bay Golf and Resort, Marianas Country Club, Duty Free Shoppers, Pacific Islands Club, and Fiesta Resort,” said the SGA in a press release.
The club will hold its first membership drive in 2012 during the January Ace Tournament.
