Paire, MPU B1 rout foes in women’s futsal

Paire’s frontrunners Angie Mister and Temary Gramlich delivered two goals to edge MHS, 3-1 in Wednesday’s third game at the Gillette Multipurpose Gymnasium.

Mister, who scored a point in the first minute of the second half, ended a 1-1 deadlock from Maria Ornes and Meena Deleon Guerrero’s goals.

Paire forced the Dolphins back with five minutes left on the clock and nearly let Jaime Borja through before gaining the ball.

MPU B1 ripped through MPU B2, 5-1 in the first game. Lydia Tan tallied three goals while Kathy Ruszala and Mel Demapan scored one apiece.

Clarice Mendoza squeezed in MPU B2’s only point in the first half.

In the competitive division, Shirley’s Football Club crushed Independent FC A in a shutout 3-0 win. Lalaine Pagarao posted two goals and Marilou Gariguez scored one.

Semis all set in Men’s League

MP United A secured the 2011 Men’s Fall League’s last semis seat after defeating Matansa FC, 5-1 at the Oleai soccer field on Tuesday.

Dae Min Jeon handed MPU a 1-0 lead and scored four more goals with Moon Bin Hong and Ohng Gwan Byung in the second half.

MPU A will be joining Inter Godfather’s, Wild Bills, and Paire FC in this Sunday’s semifinals.
