The HDTV was purchased through the fundraising efforts initiated by the Saipan Seniors Advisory Council led by its president Teresita Sorroza.
Manglona said he is planning “full-blown” activities every Friday, including dances, exercises and karaoke for the manamko’.
He said they will also use the HDTV to watch the manamko’s various entertainment and documentary productions.
“While waiting for their ride they can also watch movies,” he added. The new TV was installed in the bingo hall.
Currently, Manglona said they are working on a digital yearbook for the manamko’.
Manglona, a musical artist, movie director and producer, has been working on a short film that features senior citizens.
With the new TV, he said a bigger audience can view the pre-screening of their movie and other productions.
Manglona said they need better equipment for the center to help develop the talents of the senior citizens.
Sorroza, for her part, said she was thankful for the support of the Aging Center administration and the other congregates in accomplishing the fundraising project.
