Chuseok festival starts at the Hyatt tonight

Chuseok, which is one of Korea’s most celebrated festivities, will run until Sept. 14.

For the celebration, visiting chefs from Hyatt Incheon will give the local diners a real taste of  the authentic and bold traditional flavors of Korea.

The visiting master chefs are Sun Chang Ho and Master Chef Han Kyung Hwa.

The menu will include a wide choice of kimchi like cabbage with chilli pepper, cucumber, turnip and dongchimi; season greens including green pumpkin, eggplant and boiled down lotus; appetizers including glass noodle salad, bulgogi salad, boiled down anchovy, onion jjangachi, mushroom jjanachi, and Korean beef tartar.

For its hot cuisine, selections include marinated beef short ribs, roast beef, marinated grilled pork neck, pork belly marinated with chili sauce, braised chicken in chili sauce, grilled prawn, pan-fried squid with chili paste, young squash pan cake, mixed seafood pancake with spring onions and steamed rice, seafood soy bean soup and janchi guksu.

For dessert: vinegared chestnut, rice cracker, wild sesame cracker, half-moon shaped rice cake, cinnamon punch, mejakkwa and yakkwa.

The Chuseok dinner buffet is available from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
