After Castro admitted the charge of assault and battery, the court dismissed the charges of disturbing the peace and interfering with a domestic violence report.
The court placed Castro on one year probation and ordered him to write a letter of apology to his victim.
He will pay a $100 fine, a $25 court assessment fee, and a $100 probation fee.
He will not possess or consume alcohol or controlled substances, and will submit himself to blood, breath, or urine tests.
Castro, moreover, will not enter establishments as well as associate with persons that promote, sell, or consume alcohol or controlled substances.
On or about April 17 to 18, 2011, the plea agreement stated, Castro assaulted his wife by pulling her hair, slapped her face and head.
The prosecution said the victim suffered bruises and scratches after her husband beat her up when she joined him and his friends in a drinking session in their front yard in Chinatown.
