Parents reminded of new bus schedules, need for adult supervision

She  reiterated her appeal to parents and members of the public to help ensure that students are the bus stations at the new adjusted time: 7 a.m. for all elementary students and 7:30 a.m. for secondary students.

The new bus pick-up time is based on the adjusted start time for all public schools, which is now 8 a.m. for elementary schools and 8:30 a.m. for secondary schools.

Children, while waiting for school buses, must remain at the designated bus stops  or stations accompanied by their parents or guardians.

Students should not stand by the side or near the road, she added.

“We have heard from parents and teachers alike that the new bus schedule and start time of class is less stressful and allows teachers to have enough preparation time in the morning, as well,” Sablan said.

The previous pick-up times were 6:30 and 7 a.m.

On Friday, during a meeting with PSS bus drivers, Sablan commended them for doing a good job.
