Eight photographers have also confirmed to join the photography contest for the event. Event coordinator James Sison said yesterday applications for the fashion show and photography contest are still being accepted until this week.
The three categories in the Runway Fashion Show are for kids 6 year old and below, 7-11years old and 18 years old and below.
To participate, Sison said the parents of the children must purchase a Hard Rock t-shirt which they can style in any way they want but the Hard Rock logo must still be visible.
Sison said the hair and make-up styling will be provided for the contestants and he will be assisting in styling the contestants as well.
“The contestants are very excited to walk the runway and show their fun funky rock and roll style,” Sison said.
Local photographers have also already confirmed to join the photography contest.
To join the photography contest, photographers must join the beach cleanup on Sept. 17 behind the Aquarius Beach Hotel and take photos of the event.
The Mariana Islands Nature Alliance, Teen Talk and Hard Rock Café will be joining the beach cleanup which will start at 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. A special breakfast will be available at the Hard Rock Café after the beach cleanup.
Sison said the purpose of the Runway Fashion Show is to promote an eco-friendly environment and raise teen/kids awareness, and to also give the kids more fun activities to do despite the issues going happening around the world and our island today.
“This event will give them a chance to enhance their creative side,” Sison said.
