‘Beyond Memories’ at American Memorial Park

“Beyond Memories” musical director Paul Dujua said they will perform songs from “Evita,” “Phantom of the Opera,” “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” “Aspects of Love,” “Starlight Express,” “Whistle Down the Wind,” “Song and Dance,” “Sunset Boulevard,” “Love Never Dies” and “Cats.”

Dujua said “Beyond Memories” is directed by Harold Easton and produced by MariLou Conner.

The cast members are Wincel Bubos, Darren Cajipo, Melanie Choe, Mariel Ferrer, Mark Gonzales, Anna Rose Deleon Guerrero, Matthew Lopez, Rolando Sangalang, Paul Dujua, Harold Easton, Leo Goode Jr., Jezziel Lazalita, Ruth Loyola, and Romy Silvano.

Easton said he has always been very fascinated by the music from the “Phantom of the Opera.”

“I scrimped money from my weekly allowance until I could afford purchasing the two-CD album which in those days were downright pricy. Our household literally had to listen to the entire album on top of my voice reverberating as I repeated the songs endlessly. I just never grew tired of it.

That was how captivating it was for me,” Easton said.

On behalf of the Friends of the Arts, the cast and crew, Dujua is inviting the community to come and watch the show.

Tickets are $15 adult and $12 for FOA members and $7 for students. Tickets are available from any FOA board member or by calling MariLou Conner at 287-9541 or Frank Gibson at 287-7476.
