J-PIPS 2 is a technical cooperation project hosted by the Japan International Cooperation Agency, the implementing agency of technical cooperation under the government of Japan. The project duration is three years, or from 2011-2014, and aims to strengthen the expanded program on immunization in the Pacific countries including the FSM.

The project commenced its activities in February in response to the requirement from the priority countries on immunization program that includes Fiji, Kiribati, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and the Federated States of Micronesia to continue the training activities for human capacity development to improve immunization activities.

The project aims to develop capacity to strengthen vaccine and cold chain management through implementation of the regional trainings, to be held annually at Suva, Fiji, and in-country trainings at both national and district levels.
