The agenda will include election of officers and whether the CRA will support Sapuro Rayphand’s lawsuit in federal court.
The CRA board, although it supports the lawsuit, has not authorized the withdrawal of the lawsuit from the CNMI Superior Court.
In its last board meeting, CRA clarified that it did not hire attorney Bruce Jorgensen to represent the group which does not have a legal counsel.
The CRA is encouraging all members to participate in the meeting to discuss benefits cuts that the retirees group will support and to request Judge Kenneth Govendo to reconsider the setting aside of $100 million in refunds for active employees.
The board has invited Fund Administrator Richard Villagomez along with legislators.
