Completing 17 years as a professional player, Miura shared his skills with 10-and-under and 12U players from various football clubs.
“It’s really an honor and a privilege for us to have somebody of this caliber come in to help us in our growth and development,” said Northern Marianas Islands Football Association general secretary Edward Salas in an interview.
“This is something that we like to do every now and then. On behalf of the NMIFA we want to thank Atsuhiro Miura and his group.”
Miura, who arrived last Sunday, was joined by Mr. Otomo and six 10U and 12U players. The group returned to Japan last night.
According to Salas, five 10U and 12U players from each club in the NMIFA were selected for the clinics. More than 30 strikers participated from each division.
A striker for the Japan Football Association, Miura took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics.
