PJ Santer Bisek admits punching partner

Superior Court Judge Kenneth L. Govendo sentenced Bisek to one year imprisonment, all suspended except for three days, and credited 15 days he already served at the Department of Corrections facility.

Last month, police were dispatched to a reported domestic violence incident in Upper Miha housing in Garapan.

Police met the victim crying, and with bruises on her left shoulder, left forehead, and a scratch on her left elbow.

The victim said she was looking for Bisek in the neighborhood.

She said when Bisek saw her, he punched her on the head and back, and kicked her on the left side of her ribcage.

Bisek was placed on two years probation. He will not have any contact with his victim. He will also pay a $100 fine, a $25 court assessment fee, and a probation fee.

He will likewise complete 100 hours of community work service, and will attend and complete anger management counseling and any other counseling recommended by the treatment provider or the Adult Probation Office.

Bisek will submit to drug and alcohol assessment and treatment, and will submit to random blood, breath, or urine drug screens.

He will not possess, purchase, or consume alcohol or controlled substances, and will  refrain from any establishment that sells alcohol.

He will disassociate from persons consuming alcohol or controlled substances.

Assistant Attorney General Tiberius Mocanu represented the government during the change of plea hearing.

Bisek was represented by Assistant Public Defender Benjamin Petersburg.
