MMA fighter placed on probation

Judge Perry B. Inos ordered Sablan to pay a $200 fine, a $200 probation fee, and a $25 court assessment fee.

Sablan, also known as Palaxi, is an MMA fighter, and a firefighter at the Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting unit at the Francisco C. Ada/Saipan International Airport.

Sablan  admitted that he followed his girlfriend “while high on ‘ice’” on Aug. 20, 2011.

Sablan drove recklessly trying to get his victim to pull over. He later grabbed her when she exited her vehicle, the prosecution said.

The victim escaped several times but Sablan “kept dragging, pulling, and throwing her into his car.”

Sablan’s actions cause injury to his victim and disturbed her peace, the prosecution said.
