Judge David A. Wiseman also directed Rios not to have any contact with his victim.
On Aug. 21, 2011, at about 10:45 a.m., the victim reported to police that Rios came to her residence in San Roque and borrowed a bushcutter, according to Detective Buddy Igitol.
The victim later saw Rios placing her bushcutter inside a vehicle and speeding off.
The victim checked on Rios’ residence in Tanapag but did not find the defendant there. She also checked pawnshops but she did not find her bushcutter.
The victim then proceeded to the police station and reported the incident.
When confronted, Rios said he left the bushcutter at the victim’s residence
Assistant Attorney General Nicole Driscoll represented the government, while the court appointed Assistant Public Defender Matthew Meyer as counsel for Rios.
