Inos directed Don P. Sanchez Jr., 28; Joaquin V. Sanchez, 20; John Carlo G. Sanchez, 25; and Kelvin C. Sanchez, 23, to answer the charges filed against them by the Attorney General’s Office.
Assistant Attorney General Peter B. Prestley charged Don Sanchez with assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, riot, disturbing the peace, and contempt of court.
Kelvin Sanchez and John Sanchez were charged with two counts of assault and battery, riot, and disturbing the peace.
Joaquin Sanchez was charged with one count of assault and battery, riot, and disturbing the peace.
On Friday, Judge David A. Wiseman granted the motion for bail modification of the defendants, except Don Sanchez’s.
John Carlo was allowed to post a $5,000 appearance bond; Joaquin Sanchez, $5,000 property bond; and Kelvin Sanchez, $3,765 bail with the remainder in unsecured or appearance bond.
They were placed on house arrest, and will only leave the premises with their third party custodians, the court ordered.
Last May, Don Sanchez and four other individuals were arrested by the CNMI Drug Enforcement Task Force and the Department of Public Safety’s Criminal Investigation Bureau for trafficking “ice” near Dandan Elementary School. This case has yet to be adjudicated.
In 2005, the Superior Court credited 12 days already served by Don Sanchez at the Department of Corrections facility after he admitted the charge of assault and battery.
