Teresita Sorroza, Senior Citizens Advisory Council president, said the congressman distributed different kinds of fresh fruits to them.
“Everybody is happy. We are expecting him to visit but we don’t have any clue he will come on that time,” she told Variety.
Sablan visited them after attending the Public School System’s Teacher of the Year awarding ceremony.
It was his fourth time to visit the center this year, Sorroza said, adding that on special events, the congressman makes in-kind donations for the congregates.
Sorroza said the congressman is very thankful for the senior citizens for their contributions to the community.
She said Sablan told senior citizens that his office is always ready to accommodate them.
In an interview, Sablan told Variety said he gave senior citizens fresh fruits for their health.
“How can we forget our parents? We can never do that especially on Thanksgiving,” he added.
Sorroza said senior citizens took turns posing in pictures with Sablan for souvenir photos.
