Yi Ming Xu was arrested on the charge of trafficking in controlled substance.
Belinda Omengkar was taken into custody for contempt of court.
Vicente Sablan, Daniel Repeki, and Greg Kalen were arrested on the charge of possession and poaching of green sea turtle.
After hearing government witnesses, Wiseman found probable cause to continue the detention of Xu, Omengkar, and Sablan.
Repeki and Kalen were ordered released from custody of the Department of Corrections while Xu was held on a $10,000 cash bail.
The court set no bail for Omengkar but Sablan was required to post $5,000 bail.
Chief Prosecutor Michael Ernest represented the government while Assistant Public Defender Matthew Meyer served as counsel for the accused.
Other details of the cases were not immediately available.
Last June, Omengkar, 39, served 50 days at the Department of Corrections facility after she admitted two counts of contempt of court.
The Superior Court originally sentenced Omengkar to 120 days imprisonment, but all suspended except 50 days with credit for time served.
Omengkar was charged with possession and trafficking of controlled substance, and conspiracy. Her jury trial starts on Nov. 7, 2011. She has denied the charges.
Omengkar and her co-defendant, former Police Officer Florencio Richards, were arrested in July 2010 by the CNMI Joint Drug Task Force for possession and trafficking of “ice.”
The charges against Richards have been dismissed without prejudice as moved by the Attorney General’s Office.
But Richards has admitted federal charges of conspiracy to distribute 0.94 grams net weight of d-methamphetamine hydrochloride, distribution of “ice,” and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
Richards is currently on pretrial release pending his sentencing.
