Superior Court Judge David A. Wiseman sentenced Zhou to six months imprisonment, all suspended, except for time served. It was not mentioned how many days Zhou spent in prison.
Zhou will not have any contact with her victim and Officer John Cabrera.
Zhou apologized to the victims.
This condition was satisfied in open court by Zhou who publicly apologized to the victim’s father “who warmly accepted it,” said Wiseman in his judgment of conviction and commitment order.
Zhou will pay a $900 fine, and a $25 court assessment fee that were offset from her bail.
Zhou will pay restitution, if any, in an amount to be determined by the court.
The Attorney General’s Office charged Zhou with two counts of assault and battery, two counts of disturbing the peace, and one count of resisting arrest.
The incident occurred on or about May 16, 2010. No other details were available.
The court dismissed the remaining charges.
Assistant Attorney General Russel Lorfing prosecuted the case while Zhou was represented by attorney Joaquin DLG. Torres.
