Salvation Army to host Thanksgiving dinner

CNMI Salvation Army ministry leader Wayne Gillespie said the Thanksgiving serving will begin at 12 noon, and will continue as long as there’s food to serve.

“We want to invite everyone who would like to come down and join us for Thanksgiving dinner. Everything will be free and we will have a great time,” he added.

Gillespie said  turkey, ham and traditional Thanksgiving fare will be served but no alcohol will be  allowed in the premises.

“We encourage people to bring their ukuleles and other instruments and perform holiday or other appropriate songs,” he said.

He added that the Salvation Army would be happy to receive donations of cash, turkeys or hams.

Gillespie said that this is the first time for the CNMI Salvation Army to host a Thanksgiving Dinner.

“We had been planning to do this before but only got the chance to do so now,” Gillespie said.
