Allen Cuyugan of Allen’s School of Performing Arts said he will soon change the name of the dance school to Allen’s Fitness Center.
“Allen’s Fitness Center will house the new fitness gym which we are completing now, and the regular dance classes that we had been offering to the community since September last year,” Cuyugan told the Variety.
He said they will not compete with the existing fitness gyms.
“We would just like to help emphasize the importance of exercise and lifestyle fitness on island by making available and accessible more fitness centers for our community to use,” Cuyugan said.
He said they will offer very affordable rates.
Cuyugan said some of the equipment like tread mills, weights and others have already arrived.
“We are just waiting for everything to be complete before we will formally open the fitness center hopefully by next month or early in January,” Cuyugan said.
Once opened, Allen’s Fitness Center will offer fitness programs under qualified instructors and at the same time continue as a dance school that provides one-on-one tutorial for students.
Allen’s School of Dance and Performing Arts has been offering lessons on ballroom, low and high impact aerobics, Zumba, dance fusion, belly dancing, hip-hop, techno, R&B, modern jazz, ballet jazz, local and international cultural dances, modeling, voice lessons, instrument playing and acting.
