The center on Tinian is also regularly provided with food and other supplies, Rose Mondala, Office on Aging director, said yesterday.
“I always ensure the centers are well maintained,” she added.
Mondala said every day, she communicates with the center coordinators on Rota and Tinian to ensure that their needs are being met.
Frozen foods, canned goods and milk are sent from Saipan to Rota and Tinian’s aging centers.
Once a month, food supplies are sent to the centers and some food items are delivered depending on the need for them, Mondala said.
The Office on Aging, she added, has no problem dealing with its vendors because it is current with its obligation.
“I always monitor the flow of the funds,” she said.
To date, Saipan has 75 congregates; Tinian, 29; and Rota, 41.
