Aging Director Rose Mondala said Wushin has been providing the center with financial support every year.
“That’s very generous of them even if our economy is bad,” she said.
Enoch Sungsoo Lim, Wushin general manager, and his operation supervisor Jun Patawaran turned over the check for $1,200 to the Senior Citizens Advisory Council.
In his brief message, Lim told the congregates that his company will always remember the center.
“You are very important persons,” he said.
In an interview, Lim said their company has been giving annual donations to the center for a decade now.
As long as they do business on Saipan, he added, they will continue have an “open heart” for the manamko’.
Aging Center program coordinator Walter Manglona also thanked Wushin for its generosity.
Wushin supplies the center with LPG.
Teresita Sorroza, the council president, said they will use the donated funds for their future projects.
“This was given to us from their heart so we accepted it with our heart,” she said.
