Rose Smith, Empty Vessel Ministry Foundation project director, said they will distribute the school supplies during the first week of classes.
The foundation is helping 500 children on Saipan with school supplies each year.
Smith said the local companies that gave monetary and supply donations and allowed the Empty Vessel Ministry Foundation to put up donation boxes are the Pacific Islands Club, Fiesta Resort & Spa, AON Insurance, National Office Supplies, Modern Stationery and the Mobil gas station in Garapan on Middle Road.
The Empty Vessel Ministry also extends its thanks to Redeem Christian Church of God for its support.
“Saipan’s Next Top Chef Melquiades De Ramos of Fiesta Resort & Spa and the Pacific Islands Club will help distribute the supplies. Other supporters that wish to join us are also welcome,” Smith said. Families with special cases will receive the supplies in their homes.
The Empty Vessel Ministry Foundation is still accepting monetary donations and/or school supplies.
