Trochus harvesting is authorized on all reefs of Yap Main Island. However, all registered fishermen are encouraged to obtain permission from customary owners of reefs and water areas as recognized by custom and traditions, and are hereby advised to refrain from any harvesting activities within the “No-Take” zones.
