Owner to lock up Tinian Finance office

Former Rep. Jack Borja said the municipal government has yet to pay seven and half months in rental fees. Borja leased his building to the municipal government for $2,500 every month. “I will lock up tonight,” he said yesterday afternoon.

He said he made several follow-ups with the procurement office only to be told that they were still working on it.

Tinian’s Finance resident director, Edward Shai, was “not in his office” every time Variety called to get his comment. Tinian Mayor Ray Dela Cruz and chief of staff Alfred Perez could not be reached for comment.
