THE Saipan Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for its annual educational scholarship program.
This program reaffirms the Chamber’s continued commitment to advancing postsecondary education and honoring the academic and extracurricular achievements of outstanding students throughout the CNMI.
For several years the Chamber has offered financial assistance over $160,000 to our local youths looking to pursue higher education with the intent to become an additional asset to the CNMI’s local workforce
The educational scholarship program is made possible through the Saipan Chamber of Commerce’s fundraising efforts at the Annual Business Person of the Year Gala and the Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament.
“A significant portion of our funding comes from the generous support of our Chamber members, and we are truly grateful for their continued commitment to this initiative, which helps strengthen and build our local workforce,” said Executive Director, Kimm Camacho. The program offers one-time monetary awards to eligible students pursuing higher education or vocational training.
Scholarships are available in two categories:
• Chamber Educational Scholarship which supports students attending or planning to attend Northern Marianas College.
• Pellegrino Vocational Scholarship which supports students attending or planning to attend Northern Marianas Technical Institute.
Applications will be accepted from May 15 to June 30, 2025, at 12 p.m. All applications will undergo a screening and interview process conducted by the Chamber’s Education & Workforce Development Committee, a dedicated panel established to identify the most deserving recipients.
The ideal candidate is a student who demonstrates strong motivation to pursue higher education and contribute meaningfully to the local workforce. Applicants must also show a clear commitment to community service and meet all eligibility and application requirements.
Application forms are available at the Chamber office, located on the second floor of the Marianas Business Plaza, Suite #201-A. Printed copies can also be delivered to schools upon request.
Interested students must submit their completed applications to the Chamber office no later than 12 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2025. Scholarship recipients will be formally recognized during the Chamber’s general membership meeting in August.
