Defendant gets six days for disturbing the peace

Judge David Wiseman originally sentenced Mike to six months imprisonment, but all suspended.

Mike entered a plea of no contest to the charge of disturbing the peace.

She was placed on six months unsupervised probation and was required to pay a $100 fine as well as a $25 court assessment fee.

Assistant Attorney General Tiberius Mocanu earlier asked the court to dismiss with prejudice the case against Mark A. Hapdei, who is Mike’s co-defendant, noting that the prosecution “does not believe it has sufficient evidence to meet its burden.” The court granted the motion.

On Feb. 11, police said Mike and her sister argued about a cellphone and started pulling each other’s hair.

Hapdei, Mike’s boyfriend, came in and pulled the sister by the hair, and started punching her while dragging her to the other side of the room, police said.
