But it was the first time that the get-together, which drew over 100 individuals, involved eight different flavors of ice cream.
Carl Lambat, one of the children who attended the event at the Minachom Atdao on Sunday afternoon, said he enjoyed the cool treats.
“I wish we will have a monthly family gathering with ice cream,” he added.
His mother, Malou, said family members of the companies often meet but this time it was extra because of the ice cream.
Group business manager Glen D. Hunter of Coca Cola Co. Beverage (Micronesia) Inc. said family bonding is important to strengthen the good relationship among employees.
Their companies, he added, have been holding different events and joining community activities, including the American Red Cross Walkathon, that encourage family involvement.
Transpacific International Group Inc., or Transpac, includes Foremost Foods, Coca-Cola, Glimpses of Saipan, Glimpses of Guam and Subway Investments.
Lito Olivarez, who has been with the company for over 10 years now, said the Sunday ice cream treats “were very unique and incomparable.”
Even the adults enjoyed it, he added.
“We really thank the management for these activities. It keeps us close with the other families,” Olivarez said.
For Mary Ann Callejos, senior accountant of Coca-Cola, the regular gathering of families shows the unfailing support of management.
