Rabby Syed, the group’s president said, they will watch the hearing through video teleconference which will start at 12 midnight.
He said they will also read the testimony of the United Workers Movement and human rights advocate Wendy Doromal.
“I am inviting the community to come if they are interested to watch the hearing,” Syed said.
People can also express their views and ideas about the hearing, he added.
The subcommittee is expected to hear testimony regarding the bill introduced by Congressman Gregorio Kilili Camacho Sablan, H.R. 1466, which will grant CNMI-status to certain nonresidents in the commonwealth.
Syed is hoping Sablan will reconsider because the bill has “nothing for the long-term guest workers and is only for a certain group of people.”
On Saipan, Hazel Marie B. Doctor, a daughter of nonresident workers, will testify via videoconference.
