FSM vessel to conduct service in Yap

The vessel will depart from Pohnpei on June 17 following the first voyage that it will make to the Neighboring Islands of Pohnpei during the second week of June.

As part of its service in Yap, the ship will make brief stops at all the islands on its way to the state to pick up teachers and other passengers who will be coming to the state center during the summer.

The MS. Caroline Voyager is tentatively scheduled to reach Yap on June  27 and will depart on the same day to transport students at the two high schools in Falalop Ulithi and Falalap Woleai who are returning back to their home islands for the summer.

The state government has made a request to the FSM Department of Transportation, Communications and Infrastructure to provide assistance with its service in the Outer Islands as the MV Hapilmohol is still undergoing repair at a shipyard in China.
