So you want to become a security guard

Rabby Syed, the group’s president, said they have been operating the 3S Saipan Security Service since February this year.

3S will help provide jobs to the unemployed, U.S. citizens and nonresidents, he said.

This coming June 18, 3S management will host a security guard orientation for its staff at the American Memorial Park Visitor Center.

The event will start at 8 a.m. and end at 11 a.m., said Syed, the president of 3S.

“Anyone from the community interested in becoming a security guard is welcome to attend the orientation,” he added.

He said the orientation will discuss customer service, report writing, proper communication and others related topics.

Participants will be issued a certificate and will be considered candidates for employment, he added.

Syed, who has been a security guard and surveillance camera operator, said 3S has 15 personnel who are well-trained and experienced, he added.

They have one client, CNMI Construction.

He said they established  3S to cater to the needs of  businesses looking for affordable security services.

Based on their market feasibility study, he said there are two security services operating on island: those who have high standards and charges high fees, and those who offer low fees but have low standards.

“We come in at the middle but our standards are high,” Syed said.
