Palauan Youth Community invites more members

With its theme “Empower Youth for Life,” PCA aims to increase youth involvement and promote independence among PCA young people.

PCA youth coordinator Bernice C. Ravell said  the association envisions the Palauan youth to be self-motivated learners, respected, valued, active and independent members of the community, and to be knowledgeable and skilled individuals in respective settings in the home, school, work, college and the community.

Last March, Ravell said the PCA Youth Club hosted the annual PCA Youth Day during which  young people enjoyed games, entertainment, fun, food and interaction with the Palauan community at Micro Beach. She said young people also received advice from Palauan elders.

She said they will be planning more events and are inviting more active participation from the Palauan young people particularly in the areas of culture, education, sports, entertainment, business and public relations.

In addition to the annual PCA Youth Day, the other yearly events of the club includes the Youth Annual Election, Palauan Independence Day, Christmas party,  participation in the CNMI Flame Tree Arts Festival, the Taste of the Marianas and graduation day.

To join the PCA Youth Club, one must be of Palauan descent, living in the CNMI, 13-21 years old, male or female, and willing and wanting to participate in Palauan Culture and PCA Youth Club activities.
