Marianas Eye Institute ophthalmologist Dr. Mark D. Robertson said exhibit is sponsored by the Turtle Advocate and Guardian Society or TAGS.
“We are encouraging entries of photos with turtles, but will accept others, giving preference to subjects having to do with our surrounding ocean realm,” Robertson said.
The photographs and artwork should be ready for display from May 16 to 21.
Robertson said on May 21, a reception will be held where the photographers and artists can discuss their works with the public and patrons.
Photographers and artists can set their own prices.
Robertson said TAGS will take 25 percent of the price of any photograph or artwork that will be sold.
“We are encouraging all amateurs and professionals to bring in your artwork for exhibit,” Robertson said.
There will be updates about the exhibit.
TAGS is a non-profit organization that works with law enforcement on Saipan to discourage poaching.
TAGS also funds turtle rehabilitation and release, primarily for rescued poached turtles.
