The training consists of courses that are designed to improve individual knowledge and specific skills. These short-term courses are geared around actual workforce needs and are based on course surveys, community need assessments, and employer interviews.
WIA is a federal program designed to meet the needs of businesses, job seekers, and others who want to further their careers through employment training. Upon completing training at NMC, many of the participants are referred to various businesses in both the public and private sectors.
