From the start of the game the powerful Blue Hauz team grabbed hold of the driver’s seat never letting it go throughout the bout.
Dave Sablan ignited his team’s winning rally against the kings after sneaking six points behind team Mobil’s center man.
Sablan then moved into the second quarter of the game garnering another seven points with one shot made in the last five seconds of the shot clock behind the three pointer marker.
Team Blue Hauz was able to keep a safe distance against Mobil by half time. At the bottom of the second quarter the scores were up 40-29.
During the third quarter of the game Sablan was not seen much on the court. However teammate Rodney Sacramento kept the ball game rolling with seven points working with teammates Jun Tabora and center man Edwin Santos who each squared four points a piece.
In the last quarter of the game every minute looked bleaker and bleaker for the defending champions. Sablan finished the night another 9 points while teammate Kevin Fitial banked another eight points.
At the end of the game Blue Hauz’s powerful roster surpassed team Mobil’s game plays, 83-76.

Smart Cagers 83, Ali’i Konflikt 80
During the second game of the night the Smart Cagers routed past team Ali’I Konflikt by three points courtesy to Marlon De Dios and Pete Iguel who bagged a layup and two charity shots respectively in the last ten seconds of the fourth quarter, 83-80.
The Ali;I Konflikts were able to take hold of shaky one point lead during the first quarter after Elmer Esdrelon, Elgeanne Mangali, and Jawn Joyner each bagged a three point shot.
At the close of the first quarter the scores were up 20-19 in favor of Ali’I Konflikt. That would be the very last time they would be entitled to the lead.
The Smart Cagers stepped it up a notch upon entering the second quarter. Pete Iguel nailed two three pointer shots and a jump shot to bank eight points to the scoreboard. Teammate Ehroll Peredo snatched another six points for the team acquiring safe distance away from the Konflikts.
Darwin Barbo showcased his basketball talents and taking advantage of his height on the arena by garnering ten points for the Smart Cagers. The only hope Ali’I Konflikt had was to move quickly during the last quarter of the game to beat their opponents and the time.
It was a tight game but with careless mistakes and flimsy shots made by the Ali’I Konflikts the Smart Cagers snuck past them after the last jump shot made by Marlon De Dios and the two free-throw shots banked by Pete Iguel handing the upset to Ali’I Konflikt, 83-80.

Prospects fall to Ferrera in OT
Although settling their game two nights later, the Ferrera Builders crushed team Prospects during over-time, 87-77, last Wednesday night for the 2nd Season QQ Car Rental Basketball League.
Due to the rain the last three minutes of the over-time quarter had to be pushed from last Monday night to Wednesday at the Garapan court.
Despite falling to the Prospects during the first quarter of the game by a three pointer shut bagged by Jose Mina, the Ferrera Builders rallied through the game until the last minute of the fourth quarter.
Star of the night Kae Bernardo garnered three layups during the second quarter working to edge past the Prospects’ two point lead during the first quarter.
Bernardo then nailed two more jump shots during the third quarter and a foul on his way up for a fourth attempt. Bernardo was able to clinch the second charity keeping his team’s lead over team Prospects by five points, 41-36.
During the fourth quarter of the game team Prospects fought back. Mina Jose sneaked past the Ferrera’s center man for a successful drive bringing the scores up to the first tie of the quarter at 66 points all.
Ziddy Zochanes was then fouled earning him to opportunities behind the free throw line. First shot was made too hastily missing the basket but the second was bucketed in perfectly.
Team Prospects snatched the lead again. During the last 15 seconds of the game the Ferrera Builders were able to edge past the Prospects by two charity shots from Rex Yabut followed by one more from Bernardo.
In the last ten seconds of the game Jun Abedes miraculously bagged a fade away shot off of the key to tie the scores at 71 points all throwing the game into a fifth quarter over-time.
During the last three minutes of the bout the rain stopped the game. However, last Wednesday the Prospects fell against the Ferrera Builders after Kae Bernardo collared a whopping 10 point record to secure the win, 87-77.
