A. Samoa’s Faleomavaega has no plan for governor’s race

The congressman is currently visiting the territory during the congressional break and has been giving talks at local high schools.

Faleomavaega, now in his 12th term in Congress, said he has been approached about making a run for governor, but feels he can do more from Washington.

“I feel that our people have given me this 27 years of experience, and wanting to know how Washington operates, and the workings of the Congress, dealing with the administration, and all these issues, that I feel that my sense of experience and my sense of input in the process, I honestly believe at this time I can help our people more,” Faleomavaega said.
