Marshall required submission of presentence investigation report submitted by the U.S. Probation Office by July 12, 2011.
The charge is a Class B felony, and Salas is facing a maximum jail sentence of 20 years, a $250,000 maximum fine, a $100 special assessment fee, and maximum five years of supervised release.
In signing the plea agreement, Salas also agreed to cooperate with ongoing federal investigation.
Federal Bureau of Investigation agents arrested Salas on Sept. 14, 2010 after he received $200 from an owner of a printing press “in exchange for withholding administrative functions” such as imposing fines for building code violations.
Salas is being represented by court-appointed defense attorney David Banes, while Assistant U.S. Attorney Eric O’Malley is prosecuting the case.
FBI special agent Hae Jun Park also attended Salas’s change of plea hearing yesterday.
