The business community has donated so much for the success of tomorrow’s golf tournament and the advancement and support NMC’s commitment towards a higher education.
AON Insurance donated $25,000 as a hole-in-one prize for hole no. 13. Triple J Motors donated a brand new 2011 Hyundai Tucson GL as a hole-in-one prize for hole no.17.
Delta Airlines donated a pair of Delta Airlines business-class tickets to the US as a hole-in-one prize for hole no.3.
Fortunate winners at the end of the tournament can expect to win $2,500 in products from NTT Docomo Pacific, Continental Airlines airfare tickets to anywhere in Asia or Micronesia, and a gift package that includes one night stay, lunch and dinner donated by Hyatt Regency Saipan.
The top finisher in each flight will get $500 and a round-trip ticket from Continental Airlines. Second runner up winner for each flight will receive $300, and third place runner up for each flight will receive $200.
Other companies that donated to NMC’s golf tournament include: Dial Rent-to-Own who donated $5,000, McDonald’s Saipan owner Jose C. Ayuyu donated $5,000, Continental Airlines donated six round trip tickets to be awarded to top finishers in each flight category, Saipan Computer Services donated of $5,000, G4S security consultant Anthony Gomez, business development manager of G4S Security donated $2,000, Caronel Watch Center donated $2,000, Toothworks donated $5,000 whole Open Choice Dental Plan donated $2,000, Country House Restaurant and Moby Dick Restaurant donated $2,000, and IT&E donated $5,000. Other sponsors include the Marianas Variety.
“This is for a good cause,” said NMC Foundation President Vicente “Ben” Babauta, adding that they have another fundraising event this November. “I thank all the sponsors who contribute every year, the players and the volunteers, the community and the organizers, including the college,” Babauta added.
A total of 150 golfers greeted the competition last year. The tournament will have a show time of 6 a.m. and a shotgun start at 7 a.m.
The tournament will follow a medal play format with six flight categories composed of the championship flight, A, B, C, ladies flight, and seniors flight.
