Letter to the Editor: Number 1 priority

Fraud  and abuse.

Budget deficit. Mismanagement.  Not well-coordinated master plans.

Some schools or colleges are neglected. Leaders under-fund  schools or colleges.

Some school or college budgets are reprogrammed for other programs.

Some college wage levels don’t really entice prospective teacher candidates.

College and schools need better classrooms and student services.

They need highly qualified mentors or instructors.

Federal and local funds must meet the demands of overcrowding.

Some schools or colleges, however, don’t meet the accreditation requirements and have inexperienced teachers, which lead to low student grades.

There are also smart students who don’t have the means to enroll in college.

Poor neighborhoods create  fewer students and more gang-related activities, scaring away good teachers and good students, resulting in less funding.

How can schools or colleges  thrive and succeed?

More upgrades of all important services so institutions can create a better and healthy environment for mentors and students.

Help institutions meet targeted goals so they can secure federal assistance.

Offer better incentives to entice better instructors.

In conclusion, excellence in our education must be our #1 priority.

Out education is our #1 formula in our success. As humans, we all have the belief, the courage, the determination, the greatness, the passion, the values and the spirit to take positive actions and create a better life we all desire and deserve, and to do whatever it takes to overcome all the difficulties and challenges we face in our lives.
