Jones allowed only three hits, with the Fielders scoring their first and last run from Mike Tenorio at the bottom of the first.
The Starz quickly caught up with a stolen base to home plate by Dodet Feliciano at the top of the second.
Both teams survived the next six innings with a 1-1 tie.
Short stop Eric Tenorio soon hit an RBI double to right field, driving Jones in at the top of the ninth.
Jones struck out Tenorio, Juan Maratita, and Marvin Ngeskebei to cap the evening.
The Starz — now with nine wins and one loss — will face the Fielders again on May 1.
Feliciano and Jones went 2-for-4 with two singles apiece.
Maratita bagged one RBI while Tenorio got away with a triple.
Jets 8, Strikers 0
The Juan S. Tenorio Jets pulled off a one-hitter to rally past the IP&E Strikers, 8-0 at the Miguel ‘Tan Ge’ Basa Ball Field on Saturday.
Third baseman Ben M. struck a home run at the top of the third inning to drive Frank N. and Harvey M. in and hand the Jets a 4-0 lead.
Harvey M. followed with an RBI single, with a two-run double from Franklin Lizama at the top of the fifth.
Pitchers Ben M. and Camacho struck out 16 to shut down the Strikers.
