Lenore Langu, who was temporarily released on appearance bond last Monday, was charged with assault and battery, disturbing the peace and criminal mischief.
Detective Catherine B. Pangelinan said a police unit was dispatched to the victim’s residence in Chalan Kanoa upon receiving a domestic violence report from a concerned citizen.
Responding Police Officer Abraham Villagomez found the father and daughter fighting in the street fronting the Sablan (Kappon) Apartment.
The policeman said he saw the father pushing away the defendant who then threw her slipper at her father’s face.
“Langu was yelling at the victim about child support. The victim told Officer Villagomez that Langu bit his left arm. Officer Villagomez also saw a minor child crying to Langu,” Pangelinan wrote in her sworn affidavit to the court.
The victim then summoned the police officer to his room to show a portion damaged by a large rock thrown at him by the defendant.
The victim told the policeman he was sleeping in his room when he heard someone knocked on his room.
When he opened the door, he said the defendant pulled his shirt and pushed him. He added that the defendant tried to reach for a knife but he managed to push her away and prevent her from reaching it.
The father came out of the apartment and rushed to a nearby store to call the police but Langu started hitting him with a plastic chair.
“When he [victim] came out Langu started hitting him with a plastic chair. He was going to walk to the store to call the police. Langu followed him and continued to hit him. It’s when Officer Villagomez arrived at the scene,” Pangelinan said.
