Hard Rock Café Saipan operations manager Rey Perez said this is their first time to help fulfill the wishes of children with the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
“This is in time with the celebration of the World Wish Day,” Perez said.
He said the three recipients and their families will be traveling this summer. He did not disclose the names of the children.
“We encourage the community members and generous donors to donate their airline mileage to the Make-a-Wish Foundation as we celebrate on that day the World Wish Day and to make more dreams of children come true,” Perez said.
He said individuals who will contribute their airline mileage will get a 20 percent discount from Hard Rock Café.
Perez said along with all the other Hard Rock Cafés worldwide, they are also giving fans the chance to “Wish Upon a Rock Starr.”
The Hard Rock Café stores are offering limited-edition Ringo Starr Signature Series: Edition 28, designed by the legendary rocker himself, featuring his own original artwork.
Perez said 15 percent of the proceeds from the Ringo Starr Signature Series will be donated to Starr’s charity — the Lotus Foundation — to directly benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Founded in 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has granted over 250,000 wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions worldwide to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy through the generous donors and volunteers.
As one of the world’s most globally recognized brands, Hard Rock International has 170 venues in 51 countries, including 133 cafes and 15 hotels/casinos.
