Angels soar past Brewers, 11-4 in Major League

Pete Tomokane thrived on four base-on-balls, two stolen bases, and Clifton Silil’s single to earn three runs for the Angels.

The Brewers — scoring two early runs — quickly lost their lead at the bottom of the fourth. Vince Cepeda walked Silil, Roy Celis, and Dave Camacho, filling all bases. Pat Alepuyo posted the third out however, after hitting a grounder.

Jesus Iguel sparked the Angels’ seven-run streak after stealing to home plate. He and Tyrone Omar followed with run-scoring singles seven batters later.

Toi Celis hit a sacrifice fly at the top of the seventh, sending Mike Taitano home for the Brewers’ last run.

Iguel, Omar, Saralu, Ben Taisacan, Roy Celis, and Silil scored one run each. Angels’ pitcher Tom Joab struck out four and walked one in the final four innings.
