Mayor Donald G. Flores said currently, bato and bingo licenses are incorporated in the cockfight license.
Flores said his office may designate a marshal to oversee the operation of bato and bingo.
This month, his office announced a notice of invitation to bid for prospective bato and bingo operators.
The bato license is valid for two years while the bingo license is good for five years.
Flores said the minimum bid for a bato license is $2,000 a year while for bingo, the minimum bid is $10,000 a year.
Each bidder is required to pay a nonrefundable fee of $300.
Flores said the deadline for submission of bids should be no later than 3:30 p.m. on April 14.
All bids will be publicly opened and announced at 10 a.m. on April 15 at the Saipan mayor’s office.
