Are you a Chamorro or Carolinian 14 years or older?

Classes start at 9 a.m. and ends at about 12 noon. Items made by participants belong to the participants and participants may sell items made at the gift shop and earn money. Classes are held at the Chamorro and Carolinian Village Cultural Center Headquarters at 1213 Capitol Hill Rd., across from the CNMI Workforce Investment Agency and by the CNMI Board of Parole Office on Capital Hill. Call 322-0278 or stop by on Saturday.

Classes vary each month. For the month of May: cooking native foods, making coconut oil, and especially for males —making chonka, tuba, and fish and meat dryer.

In June: arts and craft, music and dancing, and especially for males — robe making.

In July: fishing and land hunting, storytelling, conflict resolution.

In August: outside oven baking, local medicine.

In September: gardening and making koronas for November.

Activities from previous months may be repeated should there be enough participants for a particular activity.
