Japan fundraiser a success

Several restaurants and tour companies joined   the effort.

Lawmakers also  put up a food stand to raise funds.

In addition, the NMI Japan Relief Radiothon Fundraising Committee built a jailhouse where persons are “imprisoned” and had to post” bail.”

The committee “imprisoned” Lt. Gov. Eloy S. Inos, several lawmakers and tour company managers.

Rose T. Ada-Hocog, who is part of the committee, said they will inform the public on how much was raised once they  finished the final count.

“The fundraiser went smoothly but we did encounter episodes of rain,” Ada Hocog said.
